Tooltip Player JS script is compressed and comes at around 73Kb. Any campaigns you run are loaded independently from your page and only after your page has finished loading. 

That said, if you use heavy media, like GIFs and lots of custom fonts, your campaigns may load a bit longer. But this shouldn't have any impact on your site performance. 

Please note, since Tooltip load after your page, it may not be suitable to extremely time sensitive scenarios.
